Among the priority projects of the Ministry of Health is the simplification of medical examinations for drivers

In particular, among the planned – to obtain a medical certificate for driving for category A and B drivers from a family doctor, – said the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

Victor Lyashko together with the profile deputy Maria Karchevych presented to heads and representatives of medical information systems priority projects of electronic health care for 2022. Among the main priorities:

-         launch of electronic prescriptions for all prescription drugs;

-         electronic medical records of inpatient care;

-         new types of medical opinions;

-         expanding the list of examinations for neonatal screening of newborns and other functionalities.

“The Ministry has many priorities for this year, but the release of prescription drugs by e-prescription is one of the main projects that we must implement together with MIS in the lives of Ukrainians by the end of 2022.

Last year, with the introduction of electronic prescriptions for insulin, we took the first step towards launching electronic prescriptions for all prescription drugs. As we can see from the way e-recipes work, working together has given us a good result, “said Minister Viktor Lyashko.

Among about 50 projects for 2022, including the introduction of medical certificates to obtain a driver’s license, medical certificates of death, electronic medical records on the use of medicines, medical devices and consumables, as well as inpatient care. Rehabilitation and digital support are important components of the roadmap for next year. Moreover, the plans include the development of electronic tools for blood donation and the implementation of consent for posthumous donation, etc.

 

“For the successful implementation of all projects, the overarching priority this year is to ensure the stable operation of the electronic health care system,” said Deputy Minister Maria Karchevych.
