Omicron is expanding in Ukraine: the Ministry of Health has given recommendations to Ukrainians
The Ministry of Health called on Ukrainians to adhere to quarantine measures in addition to vaccination. They will help curb the rapid spread of the new strain of coronavirus "Omicron" and reduce the burden on the medical system.
This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Health Viktor Lyashko during a briefing.
"In addition to the need for vaccinations, key non-pharmaceutical measures must be remembered and followed," the minister said.
He stressed that these measures will be crucial in the near future to ensure that the intensity of circulation of "Omicron" remains at a controlled level.
"And in order to reduce the burden on our primary care workers, who are now working overtime," Lyashko added.
The Ministry of Health gave recommendations to Ukrainians
Non-pharmaceutical measures include the following rules:
- avoid contact with people with influenza;
- wear a mask;
- limit visits to crowded places;
- ventilate the room often;
- wash your hands often with soap;
- do not touch eyes, nose, mouth with unwashed hands;
- avoid hugs, kisses and handshakes;
- do not visit the workplace if you have symptoms of the disease;
- employers - allow remote work, anyone who can afford it for a period of complicating the situation.
